GRR ABMen Ministries

Disaster Relief

Since our restart in 2004, when we brought out of "moth balls" the 18-wheeler that had been dedicated and put into service in 1996, this ministry has involved 851 volunteers at 612 sites for 315 days in 57 communities. Some 16,400 volunteer hours of free labor were given to help clean up from floods, ice storms, tornadoes, hurricanes and earthquakes. To learn more about how you can participate, contact Van Peters at 309-212-8797.

Upcoming Work Projects

Contact Ellis Loper at 217-414-9467 for more information or to volunteer for these upcoming scheduled projects. No experience necessary, just a willingness to learn and, most importantly, be the hands and feet of Jesus.

National ABMen Ministries

New Commandment Men's Ministry

New Commandment Men's Ministry is for your home church as you minister to Care Receivers (elderly, widowed and single parents) in your congregation. Teams of 3 or 4 Care Givers are formed for each Care Receiver. All of the teams meet one Saturday a month for breakfast, prayer, Bible study and then go out into the homes of their Care Receivers to complete home repairs, yard work and numerous other projects that may need done around the home. Contact Terry Maurizio at 217-853-0651 or email gooutinjoy@hotmail.com for more information.

Men's Prayer Breakfast

Most churches observe the Men's Prayer Breakfast (PDF) with a breakfast prepared by the men and boys of the church and a time of praying together as a whole or in groups. Some areas of our ministry combine with other churches, or observe an association-wide event. Contact Dean Edwards at 815-721-7791 for more information
